CONNOR'S BIOGRAPHY:
As an established director, theatre-maker and artist, Connor Goodwin has worked for over 8 years cross-art form. His debut work 'Toxic' premiered at Manchester Fringe Festival in 2021, and sold-out alongside two award wins and two nominations. Since graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University, he has gained a Masters degree and several professional credits across theatre and live art.
His practice is contemporary, collaborative and boundary-pushing. As Creative Director of Divided Culture Company - he focuses on community-led participation and works benefitting marginalised individuals - such as LGBTQ+, working-class and under-represented groups. Having lived experience of classism, homophobia, disability and bullying - he calls upon these experiences to engage others, often from the care system, ex-offenders or those on the path towards. As Outreach & Engagement Lead at 53two - he founded and delivered a successful package for local schools, colleges and community groups that empowered young people through arts participation. He has since worked with HOME Manchester, Burnley Youth Theatre and others.

Influences such as Sarah Kane, Victoria Wood and El Conde De Torrefiel show how diverse of a practitioner he is, often blurring lines between theatricality and visual art. He is currently working on a mix of community-led engagement projects and directing new works as a freelancer and within his company for 2025/26. Strengthening his contributions to his home city, upcoming works in Rochdale, Wigan and Salford are reflective of Connor's longer-term vision, to re-route the focus away from the London stronghold of the arts towards the North.

Cleansed (2022)
Manchester School of Theatre
Sarah Kane's Cleansed staged in the setting of a clinical trial. A murderous, blood-bath of a show, with huge credit to this incredible cast. The brutalism and gore of Kane's work came to life in this studio.
